Western USA – God’s Family Plan

These studies were presented at the yearly camp meeting for Western North America. This year it was held in Birch Bay, Washington, USA, September 3, 1999 to September 11, 1999. The camp was presented by Andreas Dura, who wrote in the September 1999 Messenger and News Review:

The theme followed almost the same course as the Eastern camp. We began by asking the question, What is the purpose of life? or in other words, Where do we come from? Why are we here? and, Where are we going? The answer to these questions must mold every step of our lives. Unfortunately, this has not always been the case, which is why God’s work has made only slow progress and Christ’s return has been delayed. In this connection, we studied the theme of sentimentalism, in the course of which we spent more time considering repentance than at the Eastern camp. This experience of repentance has been prophesied in Joel 2, and this is the experience that God’s people must enter into today by faith. Finally we looked at the life of Christ as an example of victory over sentimentalism.

The majority of the believers were closely united by the power of God’s word. They could really appreciate this year’s message because the idols were clearly pointed out, and because it was shown how these idols could be broken down.

Now the message has to finish the work that had only just begun at this camp. It is our most solemn burden that God will lead His people into a rich experience of cleansing and reformation.

  1. Dear brother,
The shared audio on ”Western USA – God’s Family Plan” is too important for me.
Please, can you convert it into a readible document for our utilization please?
I am native french people, this could help me a lot

    1. François, this 1999 camp, and many others, are planned for release, and the studies have been transcribed (very roughly, as it was done by software). But there is lots of work to do before it will be ready, and there are other camps before it that also should be done first. I will be doing them, one-by-one. The 1989 camp, Gospel Order, is almost ready, and will be available very soon. But I can’t promise that this camp will be next. I have to do them roughly in order, and there are 8 more camps that took place before this one.
