HERE, finally, are the studies from the 1989 camp-meeting on Gospel Order.
The theme was originally written by Fred Wright in the monthly Messenger and News Review periodical in the year leading up to the camp, and Andreas Dura presented the studies at the camp. This was the first camp where Andreas took over the task of presenting the studies, as Fred Wright became too weak to continue traveling the world, and speaking for week after week of camp-meeting sessions in the different countries.
In March 1989, Fred wrote:
What then is the issue over which the Lord’s people have repeatedly stumbled including the most promising of all–the Apostolic Church? It is the issue of “Gospel Order,” otherwise defined as the divine principles of kingdom building. Unless this is understood, fully loved, respected, and carried out to the very letter without becoming legalistic and formalistic, there will be no falling of the latter rain. We can absolutely satisfy ourselves on that point. No amount of good intentions, love for the truth, self-sacrifice, dedication, knowledge, power, or anything else, can compensate for the disregard of gospel order. The kingdom must be built to the exact specifications laid down by the Lord. “For He said, See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” Hebrews 8:5.
The studies emphasize that God organizes His church by His living word, as presented through His chosen messengers. This is the way He organized heaven, through Christ, and this is the way He organizes His people on earth. The duty of the church is to confine themselves to that pure channel of truth, and make those messages a living power in their lives.
Because Satan challenged that order in heaven, and continues to do so in his rebellion on earth, it is incumbent on God’s children to be very familiar with God’s way, so that they can avoid the snares of the enemy, and shut the door to self-sent messengers whom Satan uses to confuse and scatter the flock with their false light.
In this publication, I have included the original 35 studies from the International Camp (with a few additions from some of the other camps), and in a second section, I have placed a further 20 studies that Andreas presented at the church center in Dickendorf, from 2005 to 2020, which related to the Gospel Order theme. This should make the presentation as thorough and well-rounded as possible. 921p
